Mark Perez heads up a dedicated group of artists, without whom the Lifesize Mousetrap wouldn't be possible! Here they are with a few words from Mark...
Artist, builder, and underground collusionist since 1989. Fabricated the Life size Mousetrap in his spare time over a thirteen year period qualifying him for a new chapter in the labor of love department. He enjoys his gorgeous wife's smile, his faithful dog DELCO, and his pet rats LULU and ZUZU.
Esmerelda Strange is the one woman juggernaut who writes , sings, plays drums, accordion, and percussion (at the same time) and makes all the Mousetrap music. She has a new album in the works How to Defy Gravity With Six Simple Machines. Rock solid on the load out as well as organizing the production. Miss Esmerelda has been with the Mousetrap from the beginning and has a little dog named frejolitio. She lives in Washington and is just a super talented person. Find her on the web here: www.esmereldastrange.com

She has also been playing music and performing with the Cyclecide Bike Rodeo band "Los Banos" since 1999.

The gorgeous Rose who stole that special place in my heart really is the drive behind the Mousetrap. Her production sense, choreography, and show abilities push the presentation of the Mousetrap to unique levels. She can also run the fork lift and handles much of the costuming. Rose travels around the earth teaching and performing belly dance. She was longtime co-director for the acclaimed dance company Ultra Gypsy and now performs under the direction of Zoe Jakes in Beats Antique! you can find her at: www.rosehipsdancer.com
Moses, a sea of calm during the craziest parts of the show can trick out the mousetrap, set triggers, get the Crazy stairs working and generally fine tune the machine to perfection. Besides his excellent carpentry skills moses can clown around with the best of them and is a regular pinta for the Cyclecide show.
If I could clone 5 Jesse Roadkill's I could rule the world! For the last four years San Francisco's art underground has been greatly enhanced by her infectious energy.
Jesse's collaborations with the Mousetrap, as well as "MT Pockets Traveling Midway of Curiosities and Delights" has brought smiles to the faces of thousands. A true "Jill of all Trades" she works at scene2.com (a powerhouse set design company in the bay area) utilizing her artistic talents in custom sign painting, puppet fabrication and puppeteering.
Tattoo design, murals and scenic painting she makes art and music of all mediums, all the time. The only thing she wishes for her world is that a day consisted of 28 hours and she had 7 more arms. She also invented running shoes, banana splits, and pantyhose; and was the first woman to cross the Atlantic Ocean in a single passenger paddle boat.........shaped like a swan.
Mr. Limelight is a "true road dog" always on time and extremely resourceful on tour. While driving the bus he can play at least one of his 3 musical instruments at the same time. An expert at "mousetrap tetris" he often unloads the semi trailer in 102 degree weather and never complains. He performs in the "mousetrap cabaret" and I am very honored to have his talents on tour and look forward to a long friendship with him.
Jodi, curious glammy glitterphile with a gypsy heart, has been fascinated with hobos and gypsies for a long while. As an award winning and international performer, she has turned that passion into studies of Contemporary Fusion and Cabaret belly dance, Modern, Jazz and Hip Hop, Burlesque, Fire, Butoh and Theatrical Performance. Jodi currently performs with fusion belly dance Troupe Joweh, and collaborates with contemporary fusion artist Ariellah and her troupe, Deshret Dance Company. She is also a good eater and likes cats and stripes
Born and raised in the South (the Louisiana, Mississippi, ...ect. South), where klowning is frowned upon, Paul moved around a lot until he found his Klowntopia in the bay area. "Da Ding " when not in pain at the emergency room enjoys setting up and running the Mousetrap. His ability to successfully give 100% of his broken bones to both Cyclecide and the "Mousetrap" defies logic and we love him for that. Paul, a smiling strong backed Mississippin knows how to build the Mousetrap, and drive the fork lift faster than Richard Petty. After a little clean up Paul resembles a true clown carny carved from a genuine diamel.
Armed only with a pocket knife and a bottle of brandy the young Kelley DeForest cut his teeth run'n eleven hound dogs and chasing wild cats through the great Nevada basin.
A natural hard worker; Kelley brings many Mousetrap talents to the project. He is capable of acting in the role of "old mother hubbard" and simultaneously move a 5000 pound shipping container with a car jack and two sticks. His favorite color is pink and he has some serious pimp daddy outfits.
The Cat: likes Mice, Whiskey, and playing with String.
Always handy with the wrench, Renessa the Cat is a tireless associate intuitively capable of building the Mousetrap with one swipe of her paw.
She runs The Little House with all the merch and chases the mice around for fun. Renessa loves swimming with the big fish and being outdoors. She is an active member of the Audubon Society. When she isn't napping she likes to watch the Eukanuba Dog Show.
Spy, a truly charming mouse brings publicity sense, acting talent, and an impressive High heel collection to the Mouse trap. Due to her work with Kinetic Steam Works she can actually drive a 1800's steam engine officially making the steam punk wana bees walk to school. Spy, who serves only Lucky her four year old son can be seen on the S.F. stage with a spaghetti 'o's can hat on her head. Lucky performs the Mousetrap's strong man act.
Lisa Hasko the newest member of the mousetrap crew will utilize experience and a hard earned masters degree to deliver grant writing and much needed organizing skills to the team.
Her calm personality strikes fear into the heart of google documents and restores order to the grant writing machinery already accumulated by the mousetrap.
I believe that Lisa will no doubt guide the mousetrap down the path of successful fundraising and release us from the chains of a self funded reality.
Amen!..
